Overview
Embark on an incredible hiking adventure in southern Morocco and explore the stunning Jbel Saghro mountain range. The allure of Jbel Saghro lies in its exceptional geology and diverse landscapes. With rugged plateaus, towering cliffs, deep gorges, and dramatic peaks, this volcanic massif offers a unique and captivating experience. As you traverse this remarkable terrain, you'll encounter camel caravans, picturesque groves of boxwood bushes, and breathtaking conglomerate monoliths. Bask in the warm glow of the sun and feel the whispers of the nearby Sahara Desert. From September to May, we invite you to embark on a journey to Saghro, a region located in the south-central High Atlas Mountains, just before the vast Draa Valley and the expansive desert beyond. Here, you'll discover the volcanic beauty of Jbel Saghro, as well as the nomadic Ait Att tribe with their traditional tents and herds of goats.

Arrival in Marrakech and transfer to your hotel.
Depart early in the morning toward Ouarzazate, crossing the scenic Tizi N'tichka Pass. Explore the Dades Valley with its countless kasbahs before reaching the village of Tagdilt at 1655m. Overnight stay in a Berber house. Approximate driving time: 7 hours.
Witness the mules being loaded before starting your hike. Cross a vast plateau and ascend to the Tizi N'Iferd pass at 2405m, offering stunning views of the central High Atlas Mountains. Descend to the Iferd Plateau and set up camp, a route often frequented by the semi-nomadic Ait Atta tribe. Overnight stay in tents at 2256m. Trekking time: 5.5 to 6 hours.
Embark on a rewarding climb to the summit of Kouaouch at 2592m, which requires no technical climbing skills. Enjoy a picnic lunch near Kouaouch and descend to Tassgdilt. Overnight stay in tents or nomadic rooms in Igli at 1715m. Trekking time: 6 hours.
Descend through the Afourar Valley as it transforms into stunning gorges, passing by the small oasis of Bouallouzn. Continue to Ousdidene and marvel at the expansive plateau dominated by the peaks of Bab N'Ali. After reaching the famous Bab N'Ali pass, proceed to the Ighazzoun Oasis. Overnight stay in tents. Trekking time: 5 hours.
Depart at 8 am towards the small Tizi Tifdassine pass, descending through the beautiful valley of the same name. Enjoy a delightful lunch under the almond trees before continuing to the village of Handour. Overnight stay in a Berber house. Trekking time: 5 hours.
Express gratitude to the mule team as you follow the trail to the city of Nkoub. Pass through Agdez and cross the Tizi N'tichka Pass. Enjoy lunch after the pass at 2262m and arrive in Marrakech in the evening. Approximate driving time: 6 hours.

Berber tea house
The Accommodation will be in a Berber guesthouse will be simple and basic but has beds with foam mattresses. The food will be cooked by the Mount Toubkal Expedition cook who is traveling with you.
Camping
Camping is an option if prefered (june-Octo).
We provide modern igloo-style tents that sleep two persons each; they are of various sizes so ideally we would like to be advised in advance if any of your party is particularly tall (6 ft or over). So that, we can provide the most suitable tents for all groups.
Along with the sleeping tents, we also provide one or more large traditional Berber tents for cooking, eating and socialising which make your camp a little bit special.
