A leader should be fun to travel with and ready to share with you their enthusiasm for adventure travel and their knowledge of the area. Alongside the group leader, there will be a local support crew, which could be just a driver, or a complete team of guides, drivers, porters, mule-herders and cooks. The hard work of our support crews, along with the fascinating insight they can offer into their own culture, is integral to providing you with the very best holiday experience. Mohamed Ait Taleb is the Managing Director of Mount Toubkal. He is a Berber and with that comes a good, honest, trustworthy friend. He is a certified Royal Moroccan Federation of Ski and Mountain with a great deal of experience trekking in the High Atlas mountain range and the desert for the past 18 years. Mohamed was born and grew up in the tiny village of Armed in the shadow of Mount Toubkal.
He has reached the summit more than 100 times, in the summer and winter, both trekking and skiing. Mohamed’s knowledge includes the Moroccan mountains of Toubkal, M’goun, Siroua, Saghro and the Sahara Desert. His priorities are the safety of his travellers and the beautiful area he lives in.
Mohamed is ecologically aware and strives to preserve his local environment, after all, he lives in it, it’s his home.
Mohamed has a good command of English, is a good listener and he loves to share his Berber knowledge because in his own words “understanding people is an important skill in the wilds of the High Atlas”.
Aicha has worked for Mount Toubkal since April 2004. She loves having the opportunity after work to go for a walk, bike ride or a quick beer! She is a keen traveller, and her most recent getaways include the summit of M’goun, Toubkal, jebel kelti.

Our guides are the secret weapon behind our success.
You can access the personal information of any of our team members. We are local people (Berber by origin), who grew up in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco and know the country and people very well.
Our management, as well as all guides and other employees, have hands-on experience on the trek, expedition, providing climbing and Atlas Mountain ranges services, guiding, organizing and managing individual and group trekking and expeditions.
